Forex Technical Major Pairs Analysis | September 4, 2020

USDX (USD Index)

The upward movement of the U.S dollar index hit the 93.00 resistance and slightly lower yesterday. At the current time, the index is consolidating near the 92.60 support level and waiting for the trigger to move. U.S non-farm employment recorded a 1371k increase compared to 1375k expectation. The unemployment level was reported at 8.4% vs. 9.8%.

If the index could continue to move upward and close above 93.00 also the top of the channel then the U.S dollar index set for further bullish trend next week.

EUR/USD

EUR/USD printed a bullish pin bar pattern yesterday near the 1.1820 support level. The pair looking to bounce from the support level and target the 1.2000 resistance level again. No reaction yet today, the non-farm employment data and unemployment data do not trigger any movement.

If the pair could maintain the positions above 1.1820 then we might see a bullish bounce next week.

Support: 1.1820, 1.1710, 1.1600, 1.1580

Resistance: 1.2000, 1.2070

GBP/USD

GBP/USD is still supported near the 1.3250 support level. The pair looking to bounce from the support level to continue its bullish trend toward 1.3450 – 1.3600. If the pair could close above 1.3250 this week then traders will expect further bullish pressure in the coming week.

Support: 1.3250

Resistance: 1.3300, 1.3450, 1.3600

USD/JPY

USD/JPY rejection from the level near 106.70 resulted in a bearish pin bar close yesterday. The pair has no bearish follow-through yet today. If the pair could close below the pin bar low then USD/JPY set to continue its bearish movement to target 105.00 and lower.

Today critical levels to watch:

Support: 105.00, 101.19

Resistance: 106.00, 106.70, 108.00

AUD/USD

AUD/USD pushed lower and closed below 0.7330. The pair currently hovering near the opening level and waiting for the trigger to move. If the pair continues lower and reaches the 0.7160 support level then traders could consider entering long positions. However, if the pair return above 0.7330 then traders will prepare for further upside in the coming week.

Support: 0.7160

Resistance: 0.7330, 0.7450, 0.7500
