GBP/JPY Gains Amid UK’s Positive Data

Today British pound (GBP) inched higher against the Japanese Yen (JPY) with a price of more than 136.00.

Although this increase is not sufficient to cover the loss of October 13, 2020, it at least prokes the hope for the situation of rising.

The uncertain condition of GBPJPY started since the start of the last month, and it not sure that how much time it would gain to get the success back due to the second layer of COVID-19 which, again leads toward the lockdown situation in the country.

GBPJPY

Well, let’s talk to the recent highlights that pull the GBPJPY toward the success;

First, compared to last month, the Average Earning without Incentives, which showed a three-month history, raised its index from 0.2 percent to 0.8 percent.

A short-term indicator of how pay levels change within the UK economy is the National Statistics Average Earning. It can calculate growth in wages. The increase in earnings is positive (or bullish) for the GBP.

Then, there is another news regarding Claimant Count Change, which reflects the number of unemployed individuals in the UK. A tendency exists to affect the volatility of the GBP. In general terms, a decrease in this measure favors consumer spending to encourage economic growth.

The Claimant Count Update, according to the September National Statistics Record, decreased its index from 39.7 K to 28 K compared to the previous month.

Conclusion

There is the view that GBPJPY might continue its progress because there are significant upcoming updates that are going to release on October 21, 2020, with appreciated indexes.
