Grayscale Investments, a notable digital asset management platform, has formally filed for Grayscale Avalanche Trust ($AVAX). In this respect, Grayscale has submitted a Form S-1 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to introduce the Grayscale Avalanche Trust ($AVAX). As the official filing discloses, the respective initiative is set to offer exposure to $AVAX, the native token of Avalanche, by tracking its performance. Hence, on its approval, this trust will get a Nasdaq listing, enabling retail and institutional access to $AVAX.

In its S-1 filing, Grayscale has requested the permission to release Grayscale Avalanche Trust ($AVAX). The project is an investment vehicle to be listed on Nasdaq to offer regulated $AVAX exposure for individuals and institutions. Each of its shares will denote fractional ownership in the respective trust, which possesses $AVAX tokens. The trust will release shares in blocks of 10,000, available to eligible participants for the redemption and creation. At first, transfers will reportedly be cash-based via liquidity providers. However, the in-ind redemption will become possible later on, based on regulatory approval.

The key objective of the trust is to track $AVAX’s value without employing derivatives or leverage. This will provide a cost-efficient way for crypto exposure. Additionally, the filing reveals that the Bank of New York Mellon will serve as the transaction administrator and agent. At the same time, CSC Delaware Trust Company will play the role of a trustee. Apart from that, the filing clarifies that the shares are neither interests nor obligations of the sponsor, further improving the investor security.

According to Grayscale’s filing, the trust will get rebranded as “Grayscale Avalanche Trust ETF” after approval. Keeping this in view, the ETF speculation concerning the trust has triggered optimism.
