In just two years, the company has signed up 4,000 businesses and grown payment numbers by 500% in 2024. Apple even picked Klearly as the first fintech startup in the world to roll out Tap to Pay on iPhone.

Sam Koekoek, the Chief Executive Officer of Klearly, noted that the firm helps SaaS partners add payments easily to their systems, allowing them to give great tools to their customers. By using current devices and making pricing simple, the company make payments easy and clear for everyone.

The financing round, which comes after €2.1 million raised in May 2023, came from Global PayTech Ventures, led by Javier Perez (ex-President of Mastercard Europe), along with Shapers and Antler Elevate. Other backers include big names like the former Chief Operating Officer of Adyen and the former Chief Executive Officer of Mollie

Martell Hardenberg from Antler Elevate stated that with 40% of payment systems in Europe still not connected and €7.9 trillion in yearly POS sales, the market is ready for change with smarter solutions. He added that there is a clear chance for a new billion-dollar company to emerge. Klearly’s smart ideas and its approach to focus on customers makes it the perfect choice to lead this change.

The Company Helps SMBs In Europe Accept Payments Using Their Phones

Javier Perez, the founder of Global PayTech Ventures, added that to win in this area, companies need to give merchants the freedom to shape payment options to fit their needs and those of their customers. He further said Klearly is the best one in Europe to do this. Sam and his team have already shown they can grow fast and help both top partners like Bolt and small business owners.

Klearly was founded in 2022 by Eva Rosa Bian, Sam Koekoek, Guy Griv, Geus Walder, and Edan Dil. It makes it easy for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in Europe to accept payments by turning their phones into card terminals in just minutes.

Top companies such as Mollie, Stripe, and Adyen handle online payments, but paying in person still uses old machines. Klearly fixes this by helping software companies add payment tools for stores and small businesses. It gives business owners new ways to work faster and satisfy customers.
