Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT) trades in red post guidance update

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT)  has posted better than expected results in the fourth quarter of FY 17 ended June 30th, as the MSFT almost doubled revenues from its cloud computing service Azure in the most recent quarter.

On the other hand, Microsoft stock lost over 0.6% post the announcement of the result, after the company provided guidance for the next quarter. MSFT is number two behind Amazon in cloud services, with Google fighting to catch up fast. The improved profitability in the fourth quarter is partly due to the expanding margins in the cloud business. For the full fiscal year, Microsoft has reported $25.9 billion of non-GAAP net income and non-GAAP revenue of $96.7 billion.
