KPMG has announced a collaboration with Microsoft for investments in cloud-based technologies. The company said the main goal of the investment is to help firms become “future-ready.” The parties will be aiding companies and their operations via data and analytics applications, automation, machine learning, and AI. All these will be made possible on the Digital Gateway platform, powered by the Microsoft Azure cloud. The companies noted that the investment in cloud technology will deliver value for businesses in over 140 jurisdictions in the world.
The Parties Will Provide An Easy-To-Use Took For Non-Tech Professionals
According to KPMG, its Digital Gateway platform is designed to provide a clearer view of a firm’s total tax and finance data in real-time. This will be offered on a single platform, and it will provide an easy tool for non-technology professionals.
The company added that the platform helps to generate cost savings, minimize risk, plan tax requirements, forecast outcomes, and inform strategy.
Following the integration, Microsoft and LPMG have added three new applications to the Digital Gateway platform to improve tax and finance functions. These include Connected Modeling, Data Factory, and Tax Advance.
The Partnership Will Invest Heavily In New Cloud Technology
Global Head of tax technology and innovation at KPMG International, Brad Brown, commented on the development. He stated that the data of an organization is usually massive and complex. This means that it’s important to have the right technology to generate real value from it.
“Digital Gateway is intended to be an organization’s single source of truth for all its tax and finance information, Brown added.
The partnership will invest in new cloud technology, which will create value for different businesses all over the world.
The KPMG Digital Gateway is designed with the C-suite in mind. This means that non-technologist will have access to easy-to-use technology.
On June 1 2022, Microsoft and KPMG hosted a virtual event on the transformation of tax and how data and technology can unlock value for business growth. The virtual event was directed at Chief Executive, tax, and finance officers to help them drive the growth of their business. As part of their multi-billion global alliance, both companies will make notable investments to provide advanced cloud-based tax technologies.
