The Chief Marketing Officer at easyMarkets, Ohad Golan, has stepped down from his role. Golan announced his resignation through a LinkedIn post, confirming that he will no longer be the CMO of the forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) brokerage firm.
Ohad Golan resigns as easyMarkets CMO
In the LinkedIn post, Golan bid farewell to easyMarkets, adding that he was seeking “new adventures.” He also thanked his colleagues at the company, saying he was honored to be the leader of the talented and creative group at the company. “Thanks to my colleagues and partners for productive and innovative collaboration,” Golan noted.
Golan resigned from easyMarkets after spending three years at the company. He has also worked for nine months at the easyMarkets offices in Limassol. Golan joined the forex and CFDs brokerage firm in April 2019. He was tasked with roles revolving around supporting the company’s global marketing functions.
Some of the roles of Golan at the company include executing the brand strategy of the company and playing a role in the company’s brand strategy. He has also headed the brokerage company’s corporate communications and digital marketing functions.
While Golan noted that he was seeking new adventures in his LinkedIn post, he failed to mention whether he would be joining a new company and whether he was paying attention to a new industry. Nevertheless, he comes with 14 years of experience, most of which is spent working in the trading industry.
Before Golan joined easyMarkets, he worked at iForex Europe, where he held a position in the company’s CySEC-regulated division. The company later underwent a rebranding, after which it was named Vestle.com. Golan worked at this company as the head of Search Engine Optimization. Afterward, he was promoted to the Director of Affiliate Marketing.
During the early stages of his career, Golan worked as the leader of the IT division at bwin in the company’s offices in Tel Aviv. He later switched roles and ventured into the marketing sector. He held several marketing roles at the company during his two years there. The first position he held was that of a Project Manager for online marketing. He was later promoted to Search Engine Optimization Manager.
His vast experience in the marketing sector made him suitable for the CMO position at easyMarkets. Golan has not mentioned whether he will still be advancing his career in the marketing industry or he will be moving to another area.
