The previous post discusses two strategies for reviving corporate culture. The first is keeping everything aligned with corporate values and vision. Then, you need to distribute all the tasks proportionally and make the employees feel valued and empowered. Of course, you can do many more ways to keep the corporate culture the center of every rule, strategy, and decision-making in the company.
Reviving Corporate Culture: Go Beyond the Office Wall
You spend most of the day working with the other managers and the employees. Sharing the profits with them is certainly important, but going outside the office wall sometimes mean more. This may include paying attention to the employees’ well-being. Make sure that the rules in the company give a room for employees to achieve their personal goal, balance their work and life, and pursue their hobbies.
Imagine what happens to an employee, who never takes a leave and spends most of the days in front of the computer throughout the year. Such employees are prone to work-related mental illness. Therefore, make sure to give them chances to pursue their personal goals. For instance:

- Let them take unpaid leave, when they can volunteer abroad
- Let them take a leave to travel to their dream destination
- Design paid leave for several days a year, for instance, every summer
- Provide facilities for physical activities, such as running track, swimming pool, yoga room, gym, and many more.
Reviving Corporate Culture: Encourage Blue-Sky Dream
Experts say that you will not grow unless you fail at least once. Therefore, encourage your employees to blue-sky dream even though it may lead to failure. A strong corporate culture will thrive if people in the organization want to try many times without fear of failure. In fact, many companies fail as they grow the culture of fear, which discourage the employees to challenge the status quo.
Successful employers have proved that failure is the best teacher. When you fail, you not only learn from the mistake, but also try to find the solutions that you can do on your own way. In addition, you can identify what you can really do and what you can’t.
Reviving Corporate Culture: Focus on Communication
The most effective way to align team is communicating regularly. Communication helps in conflict resolution and promotes a healthy corporate culture. Good communication is critical to prevent negative energy, which adversely affects the way to success. So, what are the keys to successful communication? The answer is transparency.
Make sure to be honest and open when communicating with the team members. Then, encourage them to do the same. Be transparent about things related to the members, such as vision and goals, revenues, and organizational changes. Make sure that they know every important change that happen in the organization.
Finally, make sure to build two-way communication. It should flow both ways. This shows that every member in the team plays similar roles into the team’s success and has proportional contribution to the success of the organization. In the end, you will get useful ideas and input from the members for reviving the corporate culture. Implementing their ideas is good not only to overcome the problems but also to make them feel empowered.
