Revolut recently decided to embed artificial intelligence into its People platform, which is used for conducting interviews with job candidates. Other than that, the platform is also used for summarizing the performance of appointees.
The platform now includes a variety of new tools that come with AI-driven performance reviews, AI interview, and summarization. On top of that, it also has AI-driven engagement surveys, which are already being rolled out across the company’s workforce.
Moving forward, the new AI interview and summarization tool will boost the quality of hiring by matching CV contents to the job criteria. After that, it will also assess the performance, all without the need to manually record insights.
Furthermore, interviewers were found to be more engaged and present during the conversation, knowing that the quality of the feedback would be assimilated by AI.
In other words, AI will provide quality of interviews, and not just a summary of it, all with the goal of improving the company’s hiring skills. Then, after the hiring, the AI will also be in charge of performance reviews, pulling information from employee feedback, as well as one-on-one meetings.
It will consider the skills that employees have used that don’t necessarily fall under their job description as well, all with the goal of creating more complete performance reviews.
AI Can Help Managers Focus More Of Their Time On Guiding Talent
Revolut built the Revolut People platform in-house in order to manage its rapid growth, which has brought the firm to over 10,000 employees. The platform was initially introduced in 2023, when the product first became available in the UK and EEA.
Commenting on the platform’s performance, Revolut’s head of People, Andrei Oprisor, stated that businesses that make recruiting top-tier talent a priority require such a people product. They need something to rely on to help nurture employees, and figure out where further development is needed. The platform can also help identify top players, and ensure that the company would retain them.
He further said that this is where the balance between the human element and AI will come in. Real talent development happens in face-to-face encounters, where managers inspire their direct reports.
However, AI is now becoming increasingly capable of handling data and admin side, which would free more time for managers to focus on guiding talent, and finding new ways to help them take the next step in their careers.
