SIX Swiss Exchange Reached CHF 94.5B in September

In September, overall exchange turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange, Europe’s third biggest trading platform and leading post-trade support provider attained CHF 94.5B, a 20.6% rise from August.

Last month, the volume of exchanges on the buying and selling increased by 20.7% to 4,860,288. SIX Swiss Exchange revealed these numbers in its exchange crucial numbers for September this year, which were posted on Monday.

Compared to the identical time frame last year, exchange turnover on the trade fell 2% to CHF 955.7B between January and September this year.

In a comparable indicator, the cumulative quantity of transactions fell 0.7% to 47,417,809 in the initial nine months of last year.

The most significant turnover on a specific trading day had been noted on September 16th, with equities worth an overall amount of CHF 10B shifting hands. Most trades were registered on September 28th, with 319,246.

SIX Swiss Exchange reported a 1.3% increase in revenue in August, overturning a two-month decrease in trading statistics by accumulating CHF 78.3B this month.

Nestle, the Swiss international food and beverage processing holding company, maintained its months-long supremacy as the shares with the highest trading revenue in September. Nestle’s revenue rose by 59% in the previous month to CHF 9.7B, a significant rise from August’s CHF 6.1B.

Moreover, Novartis AG, a Swiss-American international pharmaceutical company, maintained its months-long dominance as the highest traded equities on the SIX Swiss Exchange. In September this year, the pharmaceutical company’s shares were traded in 310 270 exchanges, a 38% rise from the 225,307 exchanges documented in August.

What about the crypto market?

According to Finance Magnates’ assessment, damages in the exchange revenue of goods with digital currencies as financial fundamentals worsened in September.

Virtual currency exchange-traded goods obtained CHF 87.1M in the period, a -3.1% decrease from August’s CHF 89.9M. Early in August, revenue had dropped by 41% from July numbers.

According to SIX Swiss Exchange, 190 goods were purchased, and 6,539 exchanges were completed.

Furthermore, while 21Shares Ethereum generated the most robust virtual currency ETP revenue in September, an Ethereum’s ETP, the statistic is a -37% decrease from August’s CHF 21M.

Despite this, the AETH logged the most significant transaction records, with 1,205 exchanges.
