Tyson Foods Inc (NYSE:TSN) stock fell 2.23% (As on February 4, 11:43:53 AM UTC-4, Source: Google Finance) after the company’s quarterly earnings beat even the highest of analyst estimates as stronger chicken profits helped offset losses in its beef business, prompting the company to raise its 2025 profit estimate. The company grew share quarter-over-quarter in the core nine categories, driven by bacon, snacking, and smoked sausage. In the first quarter, the company generated $1 billion in operating cash flows. The guidance takes into account the Department of Agriculture’s indication that domestic protein production including beef, chicken, turkey and pork will rise by 1% versus fiscal 2024’s level, Tyson said. Adjusted operating income is pegged at $1.9 billion to $2.3 billion for the current year, up from the previous forecast for $1.8 billion to $2.2 billion.
