U.S. stock futures rebound as Nasdaq stabilizes after tech-led sell-off
U.S. stock futures trade higher ahead of the open, led by a rebound in Nasdaq futures, which are up 160 points (+0.65%) after recent tech-driven selling pressure. S&P 500 futures rise 37 points (+0.55%), while Dow futures gain 264 points (+0.54%), underscoring that selling pressure has been largely confined to the technology space rather than broad-based. With the stock markets yet to open, traders are watching whether Nasdaq’s recovery attempt can extend into the regular session.
Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU)
The DJIA index is consolidating just below its recent high, just below 50,000. Price remains above the rising trend line and the 100-day and 200-day moving averages, keeping the broader structure bullish. A break and close above the recent high would reopen upside potential toward the 50,000 psychological area. On the downside, a new lower swing low below the 48,428 would be the first warning that bullish momentum is weakening.
Meta Platform, Inc (META)
META is trading at a key inflection point, where price is compressed inside a triangle area. The stock is also hovering around the 100-day and 200-day moving averages, reinforcing the importance of the current level. A breakout above the triangle pattern has happened before, and the price is currently retracing for retest. If the bull could maintain the level and form strong bullish bounce reactions, then traders could enter long positions.
