U.S. stocks mixed as tech strength lifts S&P and Nasdaq while Dow slides

U.S. equity markets are moving in different directions, with the Dow Jones falling 542 points (-1.10%), while the S&P 500 rises 23 points (+0.33%) and the Nasdaq gains 198 points (+0.84%). Strength in the broader market is being supported by solid earnings momentum in the technology sector, which continues to attract buying interest.

Traders are also positioning ahead of major upcoming results from large-cap tech names, keeping demand focused on growth and communication stocks. At the same time, market sentiment remains cautious as investors wait for President Trump’s scheduled speech for potential signals on tariffs and trade direction. Attention is also on the EU–India trade talks, described by officials as the “mother of all deals,” highlighting shifting global trade dynamics.

DJIA index reversed the bullish movement and opened lower with moderate bearish momentum. Technically, we are in a consolidation just below 50,000 and a bearish correction toward the orange trend line is an okay. Structure remain bullish and the nearest level to watch is the white trend lines.

Macy’s Inc (M)

M shar prices made a significant bearish correction the first time since reclaim of EMA 200. It has corrected toward the 78.6% Fibonacci Retracement level and also touch the EMA 100. If the support level could hold out, the share prices might range near it for now. However, if the bear continue the push the share prices lower, then the $20.00 level, also EMA 200 are the major levels to watch.
