Futures indicate lower open
U.S stock market futures slightly lower before the opening of the busy week. The downward movement happens as traders brace for heavy corporate news and FOMC interest-rate decision. There is no major news to watch today and traders will avert their focus to earnings result from D, LMT, STX, SOHU.
Corporate report
Seagate Technology (NASDAQ: STX) up more than 2% after the company reported better than expected result. EPS come out at $1.48 vs. $1.36. Revenue comes out at $431 million vs. $382.5 million.
Asian & European Stock market
Asian stock market closed mixed. Nikkei down 2.54 points (-0.01%) to 23,629.34, Shang Hai Composite down 34.63 points (-0.97%) to 3,523.50 and Australia ASX 200 up 25.40 points (+0.42%) to 6,075.40. European stock mostly lower. DAX Germany down 0.14%, FTSE UK up 0.20%, and Euro STOXX 600 down 0.04%.
Technical Analysis
Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU)
DJIA uptrend continue strong and showing no sign of ending yet. Traders should continue avoiding looking for short until strong bearish pattern emerge.
Ford Motor (F)
F slide sharply from the $13.48 high and continue below daily SMA 200. Interestingly, the share prices also slide below the flip level. If the bull could not turn the bearish pressure and start moving up above the flip level, F prices should continue its descent.
Delta Airlines (DAL)
DAL share prices breakout above the supply level between $54.00 – $55.00. The share prices currently returned to the breakout level. Traders could look for a long position with high-odds and place the stop level below $53.88 where there is the previous retry happen.
