Stock futures mixed after Netflix earnings results
The U.S. stock market might open mixed today as the DJIA index trades upward while Nasdaq futures lower. Netflix reported lower-than-expected revenue at $8.19 billion vs. $8.3 billion expectation. NFLX shares were down 6.7% before the market opened. Traders will continue to monitor the release of earnings results ahead of the Fed interest-rate next week.
Technical Analysis
Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU)
DJIA index has broken free from the downtrend line and continue printing new higher high. The index has confirmed bullish continuation and each bearish correction will become a chance for traders to add more long positions. Next week, traders will observe the Fed interest-rate decision which might bring the index down before the announcement. Traders will continue to use the bearish chance to enter more long positions in stocks.
Interactive Brokers Group (IBKR)
IBKR share prices look trading in a bullish trend and currently undergo a bearish correction. The bearish correction will test the daily averages on the chart and traders will monitor the reactions. If the share prices could bounce with strong bullish momentum then the bullish trend will continue and traders could enter long positions. On the upside, the share prices will attempt to target a new higher high.
