Stock futures rise ahead of the Fed interest-rate decision
We are nearing the announcement of interest rates by the Fed. The market situation looks bullish for now but it might be anticipation that the Fed will hold interest-rate steady. However, the situation could turn bearish when the Fed decides to keep its hawkish outlook. No confirmation yet for now, it is better to wait until the actual announcement to decide where the market will move next.
Technical Analysis
Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU)
DJIA index consolidation might end today as the Fed announces the interest rate. Where will the index move next depends on the market reactions. If the index could trade upward with strong bullish momentum then we might see a bullish continuation. On the other hand, if the index turns lower and trades below the daily SMA 200 then the situation will stay bearish for the medium-long term.
Dropbox Inc (DBX)
DBX share prices trading lower after triple tops formation. The share prices will attempt to break out below the nearest horizontal support level or $26.00 level and daily SMA 100. We might see the share prices continue to consolidate near the averages and wait for further reactions. A close below the daily SMA 100 is bearish and a bounce from it is a bullish confirmation.
