Gilles grapinet, Chief Executive Officer Worldline, commented on the revenue report. He stated that the company has benefited from “steady dynamics in domestic payment transaction volumes throughout the third quarter. This has enabled the group to expand and reach its growth predictions for the year.

Steady Growth In The Industry

There has been an increase in the activities of payment processing firms as the financial sector expands its digital presence. The pandemic provided more opportunities for some of these companies. More people decided to use digital payment systems during the lockdown. As a result, most digital payment companies had positive balance sheets during the quarter.

Although the lockdown has been eased in most jurisdictions, the currency surge in the demand for digital payment services is expected to continue through the fourth quarter of the year.

Grapinet stated that Worldline has proceeded with its divestment strategy to continue its payment terminal business review. He added that the review will be concluded by the end of the year. This will enable the company to expand its operations and services.

With the outline of its revenue guideline for 2021, the group expects more organic growth of 6% in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, the e-transactional and mobility services revenue grew by 11% in the third quarter. It’s a reflection of its transaction volume growth.

Worldline Looks To Expand Its Global Presence

Worldline is not looking back on its desire to expand its global presence. The company has significantly increased its acquisitions this year.

Earlier this month, Worldline completed the acquisition of Handelsbanken’s card acquiring activities. It also recently bought Greek payments platform Cardink to expand its operations in Europe. Apart from its expansion plans, Worldline has also reshuffled its management board to reshuffle the firm and prepare for its future operations.
