Wyre, a crypto payment firm, is modifying the withdrawal rules, as per its announcement. The company has now limited the withdrawals for its users. The users are limited to withdrawing 90% of their funds existing in their accounts at present. This is a part of the regular limits set by the platform. This news comes after the reports that the company was closing its activities.

Ioannis Giannaros (the CEO of the firm) presented an opposing story, saying that the platform was just scaling back. In this respect, the company has declared modifying the withdrawal policy being implemented by it. To justify the step taken by the platform, they referred to the decline in the overall crypto market as well as the unfavourable macroeconomic environment. The news came on the heels of significant events among which was the failure of the Bolt acquisition contract of $1.5B. Another disappointing event was that Michael Dunworth (the founder of Wyre) left his position. Furthermore, on the 6th January, an update was released by Wyre for the community to deal with speculation regarding the firm.
In that update, it mentioned that they have been going through diverse challenges posed by the present macroeconomic scenario as well as the recent disastrous episodes in the crypto space.
