The app will allow users to obtain rewards when they share any shopping receipt using cash rewards that can be used to pay off any recurring monthly household bills.

While discussing the relocation, the CEO of Zipzero, Mohsin Rashid, said that Scotland was a fertile land for UK tech. Additionally, several programs were driving growth across the tech industry. The company has also opined that people were excited about the prospects of innovation, hence the decision to move the offices.

Growth of the tech sector in Scotland

The Scottish government has enabled the growth of the tech industry in Scotland, which has invested £60M in the tech industry. The government also issued a $42M award to Codebase, which is a company based in Edinburgh.

The partnership between the tech and academic sectors has resulted in the development of new accelerator programs. The platform also obtained advisory support from Scotland’s national economic development agency, known as the Scottish Enterprise.

The head of high-growth services at Scottish Enterprise, Leah Pape, noted that supporting the growth of innovative businesses was key to the growth of the Scottish economy. The relocation will also allow the enterprise to access the tech talent that is available in Scotland.

O’Hanlon has also said that the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region and the available support offered unique support and networking opportunities across Scotland to give the founders access to disruptive technology across all sectors looking to accelerate growth.
