Zipzero, a fintech startup based in the United Kingdom, has transferred its head offices from London to Aberdeen. The objective of this relocation is to accelerate the growth of the company.

Zipzero is a platform that is a leading consumer and advertising platform that is powered by artificial intelligence. This platform will bring the two groups together, with the goal being to enable a relationship that is financially empowered.

Zipzero will crowd-source the paper and digital receipts from the consenting consumers. It will also allow these consumers to optimize their spending and reduce their household bills. Furthermore, it allows marketers to access an advanced AI tool to detect the target consumers and drive the marketing strategy.

This company has more than 200,000 app users across the United Kingdom and has also been changing discussions related to the cost of living. The app will allow users to obtain rewards when they share any shopping receipt using cash rewards that can be used to pay off any recurring monthly household bills.

While discussing the relocation, the CEO of Zipzero, Mohsin Rashid, said that Scotland was a fertile land for UK tech. Additionally, several programs were driving growth across the tech industry. The company has also opined that people were excited about the prospects of innovation, hence the decision to move the offices.

Growth of the tech sector in Scotland

The Scottish government has enabled the growth of the tech industry in Scotland, which has invested £60M in the tech industry. The government also issued a $42M award to Codebase, which is a company based in Edinburgh.

The partnership between the tech and academic sectors has resulted in the development of new accelerator programs. The platform also obtained advisory support from Scotland’s national economic development agency, known as the Scottish Enterprise.

The head of high-growth services at Scottish Enterprise, Leah Pape, noted that supporting the growth of innovative businesses was key to the growth of the Scottish economy. The relocation will also allow the enterprise to access the tech talent that is available in Scotland.

Zipzero has set up its operations at the ONE Tech Hub in Aberdeen. The platform has been designed to bring organizations, founders, entrepreneurs, and innovative businesses together to allow them to work, learn and achieve growth.

The director of digital technology at ONE, Karen O’Hanlon, commented on the development, saying, “ONE Tech Hub is a focal point for digital tech startups and provides ambitious tech founders and entrepreneurs in North East Scotland access to an exceptional range of support.”

Zipzero will also allow the growing digital tech community at the ONE Tech Hub. The support offered by ONE, such as the networking opportunities, would help to achieve the prospects of attaining scalability.

O’Hanlon has also said that the entrepreneurial ecosystem across the region and the available support offered unique support and networking opportunities across Scotland to give the founders access to disruptive technology across all sectors looking to accelerate growth.
