General Motors It is one of the few automotive companies that posses yields above 4%. Dividends that the company paid in 2016 accounted for only 24.1% of its profits. In other words, the company has very generous money to cover its payout. It also has ample room to increase its payout in the future. Analysts predict that General Motors will be able to record 5.83% earnings per share in 2017. Beside those five options, you still have International Paper, Merck, Pfizer, Verizon, and Waste Management that have recorded stable dividends during the last few years.
